My specialist pathway is fashion and textiles as I've had the most fun experimenting. There are multiple parts to fashion and textiles, and I am most interested in how we can change what we wear and develop sustainable fashion.

The deadline is Friday 13th May. My identified audience will be people interested in sustainability and fashion. My work will then be displayed through an exhibition, and I will also display my work on my website.

I am going to start with Victorian fashion, and I will visit Bath fashion museum and read books during Easter to help inform my research. This research will inspire, and it will help me develop as I can focus on patterns, texture and colours used and then potentially use them in a piece.

There is a fashion designer called Natalie Vladimiroff who uses plastic bags to create clothing and I would like to also try that in this project so I will use her work to help inform my work. I have also chosen to look at a designer I have previously looked at called Tatyana Antoun. I will use her work to inform my approach of collaging on boards and drawings of people and collaging outfits on top, as they work well to generate ideas.

The purpose of my work is to promote sustainability within fashion and to show that the industry has never been good in terms of sustainability and that it needs to change. Ethically I feel we should change the way we throw away things, particularly fast fashion and I want to make designs using rubbish to communicate this message. Starting with using plastic bags.

I will record reflective practice by adding reflective comments to my website but as I finish pieces of work, I will write my reflective comments on a piece of paper along with the work so I can develop my work further then add them to my website later.

On Mondays and Thursday I will do practical activities, Tuesdays and Wednesday is Research/Reflection and Wix work. I will write reflective comments and reflect on everything at the end of the project in a final evaluation.
